In light of recent developments surrounding COVID-19 and the UK Government’s recent announcements  we understand that many of our guests will have restrictions and concerns in relation to their travel to London at this time.

 

We therefore have introduced some flexibility to our bookings made under a non-refundable policy. For any pre-paid, non-refundable reservations where guests are due to check-in up until 30th April 2020, we would be happy to offer you the opportunity to reschedule your stay with us directly. Your reservation can be carried forward in full, up to 12 months from your original check-out date. Any rebooking will be subject to rates and availability at the time of booking. Please email us at reservations@windermere-hotel.co.uk to reschedule. Please note, any third-party bookings must be kept active in order for this option to apply. We will review our dates in line with any changes to government guidelines.

Currently, there are no official travel advisories warning against travel to the UK.

 

London, and the UK, is currently open for business.

 

In light of the USA’s announcement on 11 March 2020, that there is a 30-day travel ban to/from Europe (Schengen Area only), we wish to reaffirm that the United Kingdom is excluded from the list. 

Travel to/from the UK is not restricted.

The wellbeing of our guests and staff, is always our absolute priority. Health and safety at The Windermere has our complete attention, at all times. We always have, and always will, take pride in maintaining the highest standard of hygiene and cleanliness. All staff, are fully aware of our current requirements, and are following strict procedures to ensure that the highest possible hygiene standards are maintained. In light of the current global climate concerning Covid-19, we have made our cleaning protocols even more rigorous. We continue to follow advice given by the UK government, local health authorities and the WHO. We also continue to work closely with our third-party travel partners, and remain up to date with foreign governments’ advice relating to travel to/from London, UK.
